Echo officially opened its doors on June 3, 2023. Over the past three years we’ve poured our hearts into expanding our accommodation and creating our very own dive shop — evolving into Echo Koh Tao Hostel & Diving. Every new room, every renovation, and every milestone has been built with the same vision: a place where travelers feel at home and experience the very best of Koh Tao.

Echo Divers opened in October 2024 with a simple mission: to teach people how to dive safely while inspiring a genuine love and respect for the underwater world. Whether it’s your very first breath beneath the surface or you’re continuing your journey, we create unforgettable experiences above and below the water.

Echo Koh Tao Hostel & Diving sits directly opposite the Songserm Pier in Mae Haad — making your arrival and departure as easy as possible, and perfectly positioned for everything Koh Tao has to offer.
Dive centres, cafés, restaurants, convenience stores and the beach are all within easy walking distance — whether you’re here to dive, relax, or discover the island.

Amazing Hostel with the coolest staff I’ve ever seen, they are so welcoming and friendly you feel like a family. I also went diving there with the Instructor Josh and it was the best experience I’ve had in my life, Josh is the coolest person i meet in my life the way he teaches you diving is so fun and teaches you everything you need to know. So if you look for a hostel or a diving opportunity you found the best possible place for that 😄
I did my refreshment course with Liv, she was an amazing instructor. I had an amazing time and felt super comfortable with her throughout my 2 dives. Highly recommend this diving center as well as the hostel by itself, great staff.
Ended up extending like five times. The diving team is awesome and the vibe of the hostel in general is just really nice. Theres a pool table and good music in the common area, the food is good and the rooms are well maintained. Def recommend
I had an amazing stay at this hostel in Koh Tao! What makes this place so special is the incredible staff. Itziar, Frank, Agus, Anna, and the whole team create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere that you instantly feel part of a little family. The hostel has a great social vibe, making it easy to meet people while still feeling relaxed and comfortable. The rooms and common areas are clean, cozy, and have everything you need for a great stay. Thank you for making Koh Tao feel like home. I can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting the island!
Me and my partner stayed in one of their private rooms. Bed was so comfy and room was very clean. Common area upstairs had a wicked view and good atmosphere! Would defo come back again everyone there was lovely! Also Josh is the best diving instructor! Defo give it a try you won’t regret it!
